Guess what, guess what, guess what? At work today, I noticed Mr. Madeofsocks was in a very jolly mood (he's excited about holidays but he seemed extra jolly) and then when the small Christmas party that we had was all cleaned up and everyone went home except for me (I went into the kitchen to thank Mr. Madeofsocks for letting me and my co-workers throw the party), and I saw Mr. Madeofsocks holding a Santa suit and beard and everything! Mr. Madeofsocks was going down to the mall and pretending to be Santa for the little sock monkey children!

Mr. Madeofsocks and the Knock Knock Joke (A story narrated by Frederick D. Sock Monkey)

Today I told a Knock Knock Joke to Mr. Madeofsocks. 

Me: Knock, knock.
Mr. Madeofsocks: Frederick, get back to the kitchen. We have orders to fill!
Me: No, Mr. Madeofsocks, you're supposed to say "who's there". You're messing up the whole point of the joke!
Mr. Madeofsocks: Frederick, get to the kitchen or I'm going to call Mama Sock Monkey and have her pick you up.
Me: Fine, but you owe me a "Who's there?" next time.

I guess Mr. Madeofsocks just wanted to get home for the three-day weekend without an annoying employee spoiling his once-been good mood.

New York

JC's dad and sister got to go to New York for the weekend. I hate traveling but I love not sitting at home doing the same old things! Why couldn't I go?

Happy November! JC wants to make pumpkin muffins this week. Why pumpkin muffins, I'm not sure because she could make banana muffins!!!

I'm sad. Why? Yesterday, Mr. Madeofsocks yelled at me when I was making a smoothie because I forgot to check if the lid was down tightly enough. But on the bright side, Mr. Madeofsocks looks good in a yellow-colored tie. 

Okay, disregard what I said about the account thing. JC got it straightened out.

I'm off to The Banana Shake this Monday for my first day. Take that, Other Fred!!

And all I had to do was use my great grandmother Socka's banana shake recipe and with a little sprinkling of cinnamon and honey (shhh! It's a secret)

Summer

Well, summer's almost over. We finally made it to Chincoteague a couple days ago. All I've done is laze around in bed every day. Once we get back, I can't wait for the fall season to begin. You know why? 'Cause I have a job to get ba---wait. I don't have a job!

So I've heard about this Hurricane Irene. And I also hear that it's going to affect my annual vacation to Chincoteague Island! WHY?????!!!!!!!! And one more thing..... why isn't there a Hurricane Fred?

This is me in the car, holding a rose that Chocolate got at a very good (at least, this is what I hear) Italian restaurant in Montreal, Canada. Anyone wanna tango?
Me at the American side of Niagara Falls. I was actually a little afraid of the hill but Fish held me on the railing, so I was good. I had to ride in a backpack just to get there!
Not much to see here. You'll notice the background behind me is green. I'm in Vermont, of course! Fish and her family went to the Ben & Jerry's there (that's where it started!). The line was too long, so they ended up buying pints instead. Two flavors: Mint Chocolate for Garlic and Pepsi (Fish's mom's new food name) and Boston Cream Pie for Fish and Chocolate. NO BANANA FLAVORED ICE CREAM??!!!! HOW DARE YOU, BEN AND JERRY'S!!!!!!! YOU'LL BE HEARING THIS FROM MY LAWYER. Wait. I don't have a lawyer.

Here I am at Tim Horton's, which is kinda like a Canadian Dunkin' Donuts. They have them all over Canada and a few in New York.
Here I am, wearing Fish's sunglasses (don't I look cool?). I'm sitting in a chair at this cool and dumb hotel in Niagara, New York. What makes it stupid is the casino attached to it and what makes it cool is the atmosphere in the hallway. Lots of restaurants and a big fountain.
This is me in Rome, New York, sitting on a couch. We were just about to leave for Niagara that same day.

This is me in D.C., the first day of traveling. I am near the Macy's Mall.

July 31

Happy last day of July! I'm in Rome, Ny right now but later today, Fish and her family will be going up to Buffalo, NY to see their uncle (who messes with Fish a lot)

Canada

Fish and her family will be going on a 11-day vacation to Canada this week. Hopefully, they will be riding a famous boat in Niagara Falls called "The Maid of The Mist", which is full of passengers in raincoats because water always sprays the passengers of the boat. I will be sharing a raincoat with Fish (so I won't get wet). Fish's mom is saying that maybe they won't allow sock monkeys to pass the Canadian border, so I'll have to lay low. Pictures from Fish's camera will hopefully eventually be posted here on "Fred Says...".

IT'S TOO HOT!!!!

Ok, so by the title of this post, you can tell that this post is about the current heat situation in the US. Ok, enough with the fancy words.

It's hot. Summer's supposed to be hot, right? Duh. I know what you're thinking. Actually, I know what you're not thinking. Sock monkeys don't usually leave their houses at all. Of course. But my mother, Mama Sock Monkey, had to run to the supermarket today to buy more bananas and of course, had to drive through a heat wave. Then she called me on the phone and complained how hot it was. Since I'm the oldest, she complains to me the most.

Anyway.....

LP-D's food name

As you all know, food names are a fun thing Fish and her friends like to do. There are two followers of this blog who have food names: Strawberry and Bacon. Fish's best friend, LP-D, who went to school with a dumb boy named Carrot (that is his food name) has recently received a food name, herself. It is Caramel. Speaking of Caramel, her birthday is coming up on the 24th. If it weren't for Fish, Caramel wouldn't have a sock monkey who happens to be Fred's brother and best friend!

It's Almost Time

It's almost time! It's almost time! It's almost time! Time for what, you may ask. Well.......it's almost time for...........THE FOURTH OF JULY. It is being held on a Monday this year, one of the few Mondays we are actually looking forward to. Fish and her family (unless it rains) go to Washington D.C. near the Pentagon, to see the fireworks and they are spectacular!!!!! Fish will probably use her camera to video the fireworks. GO FIREWORKS! :) Most likely, Fish will take a picture of me in D.C. Happy counting!

Ah. Summer vacation. A perfect opportunity to kick back with a banana and relax. Fish (JC, but people should be aware of the food names. Some of her friends do not have food names so they will be called by their initials) has not been feeling so good but I hope she gets better.

Summer and bananas

Today is the summer solstice and the last day of school for JC, some call it: June 21st. I can smell summer in the atmosphere. Or maybe those are just bananas. Anyway, JC has a lot more time to spend at home with me and the chances are very high (or at least according to me) that she will have more time to give me bananas. OK, as you can see, I'm just trying to drop hints here so I'll make this clear: I WANT SOME BANANAS. HAVE I MADE MY POINT?

The Most Important Day of the Year

Today is JC's 12th birthday. That's nice.
But what's REALLY important about today is that today is the 1st anniversary of the day I moved in with JR.

Open House

Today was Open House at the library. JC and her sister, SC and their dad AC did face paints. JC and SC also drew stuff with sidewalk chalk outside. Unfortunately, they did not draw any bananas. WHY NOT????????????

JC Is A Sore Loser

I'm glad she's feeling better, but how come she got so mad just because I beat her at Uno?
After all, she beats her mom at Uno all the time, and her mom doesn't throw her cards or anything.

She made me sleep in her mom's room last night. That would've been okay, except JC's dad snores.
And her mom didn't like it when I wanted to do the banana dance at 3AM. I mean, who wants to sleep all night?

My person JC has been sick the last couple of days. Her mom thinks it's a sinus infection and she has to go to the doctor today. I hope he gives her something that makes her feel better.

Saturday night JC had a bad fever and slept with her mom and I got to sleep with her too. I liked that. But last night when she wasn't feeling well and went in there she left me in her bed. I MISSED HER!

Get well, JC. Hope the doctor tells you that you need to eat some bananas--and share them with ME!

JR's birthday is exactly 5 weeks away. Also, the day I came home is exactly 5 weeks away. Glad JR's back. She's been at her friend LW's house and I was bored during those hours......

Haven't posted anything since St. Patrick's Day. Bored. JC went to the library w/ Library Lady (a.k.a. her mother) and I ended up sitting on JC'S bed for 2 hours with nothing else except a doll, a really soft bunny, and a huge pile of clothes on the floor.

Wrapped up in a banana yellow blanket, doing nothing....

My eccentric uncle Patrick donated $100 worth of bananas to the less fortunate. Okay, maybe it was $50 dollars but I still think it was nice of him. Every President's Day, my family eats all the bananas and banana-related foods we can get our hands on, in celebration of my eccentric uncle's donations every year. Foods like banana bread (which by the way, JC's mom baked today), banana pudding, banana splits, plantains, and other stuff. Basically to us, President's Day is Banana Day but isn't every day Banana Day?

Had fun w/ SL and JC. Watched some TV and went crazy! And now it's time for a banana that I stole. Whoops I mean.. LOOK UP IN THE SKY!

Some things to say, a gift card, and 2 sock monkeys named George

2 things to say:

1st: From now on, Fred says I can type his posts for him (even though the last few posts I already did) and

And 2nd: SL'S coming tomorrow! I gave her a sock monkey for her birthday but he doesn't look like Fred. He's a lot smaller, he's got red and white stripes, and he holds a gift card to Barnes & Noble. SL named him George and Fred's got 2 brothers named George. A twin brother named George and a younger brother who looks nothing like him also named George.

Fred would like to give a message to his brothers George and George (there's 2 Georges. One belongs to my best friend LP-D and one belongs to my other best friend SL):

I miss you both. I'll send letters and bananas to you. Hope you hit your growth spurt, George that belongs to SL and I heard that Mom's coming to visit you, George who belongs to LP-D. Make sure she knows that you're George and I'm Fred. Love you guys!

Today feels like Monday

JC says that today feels like Monday and I agree. I stay in her house all day in my pajamas so what do I know anyway? Wait, all I know is that I'm made of socks and I love bananas. That's not much, is it?

Mondays

It's a boring Monday. Just sitting back and relaxing. I've been in my pajamas all day. My person, JC was hanging out with her best friend LP-D and let me tell you something, they're sooooooo wild. LP-D lives with my brother George. I miss him. LP-D always brings him but she forgot. Oh well.
